Scottsdale Soccer utilizes practice and home game fields controlled and maintained by the City of Scottsdale and the Salt River Pima Indian Community. The Scottsdale Soccer VP of Fields is responsible for the acquisition of fields for seasonal use and is the liaison with the City of Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department / Salt River Pima Indian Community (Salt River Fields at Talking Stick) regarding their maintenance, issues and reservation for specialized use (Scrimmages, Practices and Club Events). Through the Club partership with both entities, Scottsdale Soccer utilizes over thirty (30) City of Scottsdale fields throughout the year and the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in the summer and fall months.
RAIN PLAN – Field usage, maintenance and playable conditions are controlled and determined by the City of Scottsdale NOT Scottsdale Soccer. The City of Scottsdale has established a “Rainout” number, updated by 3:00pm daily, to advise on field status. That number is (480) 312-7246 (RAIN). This number and the “Field Status” information box shown on the Home Page of this website are the only updated sources for rain day cancelations.
NOTE – Team Managers cannot cancel practices, games or other events, based on field status, without the approval of the Coach and Scottsdale Soccer Directors of Coaching (DOC’s). Coaches and / or Team Managers will also communicate to teams when field closures are announced.
